Conclave is an interesting film. It looks great, sounds great and has an interesting subject. The problem is that for me there was not quite enough going on. Restraint is a powerful tool for a filmmaker, but I think Edward Berger may have been a little heavy handed in it's application. There is only just enough intruige to keep the story going and then it all just kind of ends. Did I mention that the audio is REALLY good? Fiennes has the kind of voice that makes me home theatre very happy.
