Ippolita is a paralyzed young woman with serious mental problems stemming from the death of her mother. Her crisis of faith and the intervention of a well-meaning psychologist lead Ippolita to remember her past life as a witch during the Inquisition. Eventually, Ippolita becomes possessed and starts seducing local men, only to kill them. An exorcism seems to be the only solution to stop the madness.

Leave it to the Italians to turn the Exorcist kinky. Seeing a woman yell cock is not as unnerving as when a little girl does. Mel Ferrer is in this and he's apparently in every other movie I see or I have a brain tumor. Still, I loved it. I like the middle-aged ringer actors just stealing scenes like it was money. Alida Valli I just know for Hollywood's attempt to make her the next Ingrid Bergman in the 40s or 50s. Anyway, to see her eyes in color! An extra star.
