The Marvels is complete garbage BUT it does have the good graces to be lighthearted and breezy at a slick 1h45m.
Iman Vellani is a joy to watch on screen and you can tell she is genuinely having a great time. Even Brie Larson seems to have loosened up a bit to make her latest Marvel outing a little more enjoyable.
This movie contains none of the preachy gender politics and obnoxious girlbossing of the previous movie making it a much more enjoyable experience.
