The plot is simple—ex-hitman comes out of retirement after the ultimate wrong—but the execution is near flawless. From the moment John puts the suit back on, the body count rises and the elegance of every gunfight becomes almost balletic. The world-building is subtle but intriguing, with the Continental Hotel and its assassin-underworld lore hinting at something much bigger.
Keanu is perfectly cast: stoic, lethal, and somehow still vulnerable. And the action? Clean, relentless, and refreshingly grounded. John Wick doesn’t just hit hard—it hits with style.
