Went in thinking this was a horror flick derived from a creepy pasta when in fact this is more of an exploration of creepy pasta subculture itself. There’s a depressing irony in the pervasive loneliness in the internet age, with platforms and tools abound designed specifically to more easily connect people together. It’s in this exploration that We’re All Going To The World’s Fair paints a very realistic picture. Anna Cobb give an excellent debut performance. Expecting a horror film, I would honestly probably only give this a one star. I didn’t find it scary or even creepy in the slightest. Because that’s a fault of my own expectations, I’m willing give this a 3 star pass. Though, I didn’t particularly enjoy this watch, I do think that if I had known what I was getting into, I could very easily see giving this 3 stars, if not more. Just please don’t go in thinking this is a horror flick.
