A modern take on Pinocchio. Robin Williams, casting off his manic brand of comedy, shines in a more serious role as Andrew, an android who breaks free of his programming and spends two centuries in pursuit of what it means to be human.
Funny at times, but it is ultimately a beautiful exploration of human strengths and frailties. Well worth watching, and the James Horner score is the icing on the proverbial cake.
