The Fantastic Four: First Steps

The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel's First Family is forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, while defending Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer.

Holy moly marvel is SO BACKKK!!! Anyway this movie really proved to the world just how effectively marvel can create superhero masterpieces again. Being marvel’s first A-list team in a long long time, this movie perfectly captured who the fantastic four are, space explorers as well as famous scientists and heroes down on earth. The cast brought remarkably great performances for each character, my favourites being Vanessa Kirby,
Joseph Quinn, and Julia Gardener. They really nailed the retrofuturistic vibes, making me analyse every single set just because of how interesting they were. I don’t remember the last time literal set pieces had me dazzled. On the topic of visuals, the cgi and cinematography were absolutely perfect. Galactus, silver surfer and the fantastic four’s powers were immaculately depicted. Especially the space sequence at the beginning of the movie. I was at the edge of my seat during that sequence. The visuals, score, and acting came together so perfectly. Every single character had their intense and emotional moments. I’m genuinely so attached to these characters, just like how I was in thunderbolts. I can’t wait for them all to come together in doomsday.
