Vanilla Sky

David Aames has it all: wealth, good looks and gorgeous women on his arm. But just as he begins falling for the warmhearted Sofia, his face is horribly disfigured in a car accident. That's just the beginning of his troubles as the lines between illusion and reality, between life and death, are blurred.
Meh, some people may enjoy this movie, and some won't. I think this can end up being a "fun" watch for the average viewer who may or may not be cozied up on the couch with their partner.
For myself, I found the first act of the movie really cool. Interesting characters, great chemistry between the actors, compelling arcs, but it's like they decided to smash the second half of this movie with a completely different idea and then it is this idea that ends up taking more screen time than anything that attracted the viewer in the first act. Because of that, this movie started to lose steam for me, and ended up being a slightly worse Black Mirror episode.
