Novocaine has a fun premise, and thankfully it delivers. A guy who can’t feel pain ends up in the worst possible situation to have that condition—and the movie runs with it in some really entertaining ways.
There are quite a few wince-inducing moments of gore, and they’re executed really well. The torture scene and the booby-trapped house are perfect setups to get the most out of this concept.
Jack Quaid and Amber Midthunder have great chemistry, and I found myself genuinely rooting for them all the way to the end. It’s a solid, bloody good time.
