It’s not like it’s painful to sit through but that doesn’t mean it’s a good movie. Eli Roth doesn’t keep anything consistent. The moviegenre changes from drama, comedy, action movie and it just doesn’t add up. You have characters your suppose to care about get tortured and murdered, followed by a bunch of cheesy jokes that take you out of it. Not to mention the way over the top Eli Roth violence when it comes to taking out bad guys. The motivation for Bruce Willis to take the law in his own hands was unintentionally funny. Willis’s performance was another typical one of his. Nothing special at all. What I hated the most was the radio Djs talking about the “grim reaper” and that comic book style montage. The few action scenes here were decent enough but no reason to view this movie.
