Extraordinary. Packed full of metaphor for those with an eye for such things. A tale of humanity for those that simply want to be moved and entertained in equal measure. As is so often the case with a Del Toro film, the wonder and fantasy grabs the attention of your eyes, whilst the mind has all the good, and bad, of what makes us human, reflected back at you.
