Boom: A Film About the Sonics

In Washington state, five teenagers formed The Sonics, a raw garage rock band whose savage sound would influence generations of musicians - from punk legends to grunge icons - and finally earn recognition half a century later.
One of the better rock documentaries I've seen in a while. Mostly because I've been a big fan of The Sonics for decades, but never knew much about them...other than the fact that they put out their first album the year I was born, and it's ferocious. They were all around 17 years old when they released their first hit single! These guys are the godfathers of garage/punk rock. They influcenced everyone from Iggy and the Stooges to Soundgarden. They were Pacific Northwest punk/grunge before that was ever a thing. I love this documentary, tons of cool music and a great history of the band...who got back together and are still around today, and still tearing the roof off! Highly recommended for rock music fans everywhere.
