It's always nice to see a film that celebrates and humanises fathers rather than denigrate and patronise them which 9 out of 10 times is the route Hollywood goes down, so I really respect this film. Mel Gibson is on form as always, and Jodie Foster makes a really superb directorial debut. The casting all round is great, the story is great, and the whole ensemble (cast and crew), in my opinion, totally pull it off. A fantastic little gem of a film.
