Big Fred Olen Ray fan, in my book he's in the same club as Jim Wynorski and David DeCoteau. These three guys are the Mount Rushmore of the best schlock. Deep Space though is a little more serious in tone than Fred's usual output. The alien creature design is absolutely sick and the kills are gnarly! The only real shame is how underutilized the alien is and how few kill scenes we get.
