The Better Sister began as an intriguing Prime mini-series, drawing me in with its initial promise and a compelling performance from Elizabeth Banks. However, what started strong quickly devolved into predictable plots and clichéd writing. The early intrigue faded, replaced by shlocky storytelling. Adding to the disappointment, some casting choices, particularly Janel Moloney as the mother, felt off, with her appearing too young for the role. A real shame, as it had potential.
