If you can suspend your disbelief this story has tense moments that will keep you engaged.
The problem lies in what The Dead Thing tries to deliver: a twist that doesn’t quite make sense and opens up car sized plot holes.
I found myself asking, “wait a minute…if that, then how?” way too many times throughout to give this film a better rating. The Dead Thing has an interesting premise and the film is solid enough for a one time watch, but after that you’ll let The Dead Thing rest.
