Did not like this one. It’s a franchise that feels tired to me. Didn’t have the best viewing experience though which may have tempered any potential enjoyment. Brought my youngest son and his two buddies to this as part of an early birthday party. Did not realize one of his buddies has seen it already. No lie, every 5 minutes the kid would turn to the other friend and say, “This part’s really funny” and then proceed to say the next line of dialogue in unison with the movie. He did this no less than 15 times during the movie despite my gentle requests to “please shut up.” Don’t get me wrong. I love kids. But, when I say that I mostly mean that I love my own kids. A little bit I hate other people’s kids. <end rant>
I will say that at the very end the children in the audience went apeshit for appearance of all the characters from the previous films. Standing up, shouting and pointing at the screen like Leo. So that was pretty awesome actually.
