Kill Your Friends

Kill Your Friends
A&R man Steven Stelfox is slashing and burning his way through the music business, a world where 'no one knows anything' and where careers are made and broken by chance and the fickle tastes of the general public. Fuelled by greed, ambition and inhuman quantities of drugs, Stelfox lives the dream, as he searches for his next hit record.

Watched for #slashersaturday, but this definitely doesn’t work as a slasher so I can’t really rate it as such. As a dark satire comedy, though, I really quite enjoyed it. Hoult is great as the cutthroat aspiring record executive that doesn’t give a sh🤩 about music. I probably would have rated this higher if Hoult would have amassed a larger body count along the way, or if the ending hadn’t felt as abrupt. I liked it though. Had never even heard of it before.
