An odyssey through time and memory, centered on a place in New Jersey where—from wilderness, and then, later, from a home—love, loss, struggle, hope and legacy play out between couples and families over generations.

The camera stays in one place the entire movie and the scenes change to show you how much has occured in this one spot since the beginning of time. Its a very interesting concept but the problem is, it shifts through so many actors and goes back and forth from time to time that it makes it hard to care about anyone or anything that is occuring. It feels like it tries very hard to make a point that somehow gets lost in its translation. Although it was interesting to watch and immersive at times, I had a hard time feeling connected to the story. I left not thinking twice about it and moved on with my life.
Tina says she liked it and connected with one of the main characters. She explained to me that it told a good story of explaining that your life is so precious. It showed people that were connected with each other in this one spot and their lives and what took place there. It showed the characters living their life the way they wanted or not. That it told a strong message of living your life and that time goes by very quickly. Tina cried a lot trying to explain this to me and I could tell the movie meant a lot more to her and that she connected with the characters way more than I did.
Where I felt it looked gimmicky and hard to connect with (as a man), Tina (as a girl) had no problem getting into the story and finding a connection with it.
