Terrifier 3
Art the Clown is set to unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.

Didn’t like this quite as much as the previous installment, but the kills and gore are still immensely fun. David Howard Thornton continues to impress with his incredibly expressive performance and hilarious miming. The Christmas setting is great (and a $olid move to get your horror franchise to be rewatched during both October and December). Definitely some memorable kills, including some dick violence this time around. I didn’t care much for the final act, though. Thought that none of the characters actions really made much sense, including Art’s. I don’t exactly watch these for the story though and I would be down for Damien Leone getting the runtimes to under 2 hours.
sidebar: I saw a story a few weeks ago about how there were 5 animated films in the top ten at the weekend box office for the first time ever. And I saw a different story about how some box office analysts believe Terrifier 3 could have done even better at the box office, but that many theaters were being strict regarding age policy and not letting younger teens purchase tickets. Thus a bunch of them were buying tickets to other films and sneaking in. I did not see anything stories potentially connecting these two story. But it had me thinking that a studio with an animated film release might seriously consider targeting releasing their movie the same week as a Terrifier movie or perhaps the week before it comes out.
