The Fantastic Four: First Steps

The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel's First Family is forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, while defending Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer.

Despite what people think, I really wanted to like this. I don’t think it’s a bad movie, but it is a really boring one to me. I wish I felt more connected to this family. I wish they seemed more connected to each other. I wish Sue Storm felt like a more complex depiction of motherhood. But it’s fine and it looks very good when the shot doesn’t require vfx.
