Ironically, the best accent in the whole movie is when Hugh Laurie does his American accent to Dr Watson.
Other than that, this movie just didn't work on any level at all.
It takes cheap and unfunny political jabs at the US the UK and the president. Which I guess is all the rage in Hollywood, but it's certainly not why I watch Will Ferrell movies I know that much.
Talladega Nights was a funny movie, they didn't try to be political for the sake of it, and they didn't in Step Brothers either, so why did they have to do it in this "comedy"?
If you're thinking it might be worth it for a laugh..... it's really not, and that's got absolutely nothing to do with my political view.
I watch comedies to try to get away from political nonsense which I hear about all day, I want to laugh, but this movie just falls flat.
And fyi, Queen Victoria wasn't about when the Titanic was, and the Titanic would never fit up the river Thames into London, but that doesn't make this movie any worse than it already is.
And I'm a fan of these guys!
