This is one of those book to TV/film adaptations where it's not exactly like the original in spirit but it's still insanely good. Great animation, rapid fire gags, tight writing. They tap into topics about family income struggles pretty well. It also does a good job keeping Nate as a empathetic and ultimately good kid despite being a bit of an ego maniac most of the time.
I recommend giving this a fair shot. I'm a little sad it got cancelled, though. There was a lot of potential after the second season finale.
