This movie didn't age well. Let's look at the main plotline: A deranged ex-Confederate officer, now a union officer, deserts, convinces the Kiowa to go on the warpath, and then leads them. At the same time, the hero of the film goes to a tribe driven from their land by the white man and bribes them with food for their families to fight against the Kiowas.
