A young family is visited by ghosts in their home. At first the ghosts appear friendly, moving objects around the house to the amusement of everyone, but then they turn nasty and start to terrorize the family, eventually "kidnapping" their youngest daughter.

I first saw this as a kid. It was one of about 5 horror movies that really scared me and burned its images into my mind like a mental tattoo. And I mean that in a good way :-) If you’re going to watch a scary movie , do it right! Gore is ok, but this film doesn’t rely on it to be scary, the story and acting are top notch. A horror masterpiece courtesy of Steven Spielberg.
