The Tough Ones

Rome, Armed to the Teeth
A tough, rule-bending cop pursues a maniacal, trigger-happy hunchback, a one-handed bank robber and their cronies in an effort to bring Rome's most powerful crime lord to justice.

Another poliziotteschi Lenzi/Milian/Merli joint. Umberto Lenzi has shot up as one of my favorite directors and his poliziotteschi pieces are the best in the subgenre. After seeing almost all of his offerings in this style Rome, Armed to the Teeth is my least favorite. Not that anything is wrong here- I've already seen pretty much everything it has to offer in the other poliziotteschis he's done; even Milian as a hunchback (Brothers Till We Die). Decent entry to introduce into Italian crime or even enthusiasts to seek out, Lenzi has just done a lot better with and without Milian.
