This movie follows a day in the life of Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin), a Hollywood fixer for Capitol Pictures in the 1950s, who cleans up and solves problems for big names and stars in the industry. But when studio star Baird Whitlock (George Clooney) disappears, Mannix has to deal with more than just the fix.

An extreme disappointment from the Coen Brothers. I get this movie, I really do. It's a love letter to the golden picture age, but beyond looking authentic, its about the only thing that truly works. The premise from the trailers, the whole George Clooney is kidnapped and got to get him back is just a basic premise to fill out the framework of the entire movie. There are so many subplots that just drag out, committing the worst crime, being boring. I also am appalled that they advertised the way they did with their star studded cast because literally it breaks down as follows. Jonah Hill- 1 min of screen time, Scarlet Johansson- 10 mins, Tilda Swinton- less than 5 mins, Channing Tatum- about 12 mins, and last example Ralph Fiennes- 1 hilarious scene and that's it. These are cameos and their names shouldn't be on the poster. Don't get me wrong there are hilarious moments in the film but they come so far and in between this is not a film I recommend people seeing.
