The African Queen

The African Queen
In WWI East Africa, a gin-swilling Canadian riverboat captain is persuaded by a strait-laced English missionary to undertake a trip up a treacherous river and use his boat to attack a German gunship.

First time being exposed to this actors. I thought they were both excellent for the time period. I was more impressed by the cinematography from 1951. The first two acts were funny and interesting, but the third really ruined this movie for me. The pacing is slowed down and the ending is just stupid. There's something about old movies and their props and set designs that I really love. Watching this with my grandfather made me appreciate this more.
