On my first watch, I didn’t enjoy Nope as much as I did Get Out. I left the cinema a little confused and felt like it didn’t have the same payoff as get out.
On my 2nd watch this became my favourite Jordan Peele movie.
I feel he achieved more as a director in this layered film.
It covers exploitation & spectacle, the relationship between an artist and his art as well as meaningless coincidences.
A modern twist on “Monster Horror” Jordan is fast becoming one of my favourite modern directors
