National Anthem
Dylan, a 21 year-old construction worker in New Mexico, joins a community of queer rodeo performers in search of their own version of the American dream. While working on a ranch in the breathtaking expanse of the Southwest, they contend with the undeniable forces of nature, family, and love.

Exceedingly tender portrait of queer self discovery and finding belonging and community. Charlie Plummer is excellent as Dylan, but Eve Lindley, my goodness…what a captivating and alluring performance. When people make reference to “Queer Cowboy Movies” I will only think of this film now. Excellent supporting role for Mason Alexander Park, as well. (Nominated for Independent Spirit Award—best breakthrough performance). They’re great on the Quantum Leap reboot series, too. Beautifully rendered, can’t really say enough good things about it.
