Some of the jokes fall flat but overall a very funny film. Enjoyed the obvious Hitchcock tribute but I wonder how much longer Oz wants to remind everyone he’s a nepo-baby.
It’s tough to hold it against him, but Theo James is so damn handsome I honestly can’t take anything he says seriously. Or maybe he’s just a subpar actor. I just wasn’t a fan of the understated emotions but I get it - the dude’s repressed. Enjoyed the other performances of people I wasn’t very familiar with! Sarah Levy and Oz were a humorous couple for how long they lasted. And Adam Scott and Elijah Wood were solid in guest roles. The girl bullies were…an interesting choice, and the false resolution featured some (possibly intentional) horrendous dialogue. Overall tho, I think Oz is comfortable with the groove he’s found and I am enjoying his work! Including a trailer for your next project at the end is curious!
Gonna give it a rare qualifier and say it fits between 3 and 3.5* so ima officially say 3.25*
