The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse
Based on real events which saw two lighthouse keepers stranded for months at sea in a freak storm, the film tells a tale of death, madness and isolation; a desolate trip into the heart of human darkness.

A two-man play on a smallish budget but effective. Not as terrible as folks here getting the vapors because it’s not the other movie called The Lighthouse. We don’t have to take a side nerds.
I initially called it a faith-based film but now I'm not so sure. There's too much bible stuff, but it didn't amount to anything.
Lighthouses are hypnotic to me. Lonely and isolated it’s no wonder Hopper moved from nighthawks to lighthouse seascapes.
Two fine performances from the ruddy gingers. I wish they were in a proper lighthouse instead of the smallish wood tower that did not impress.
