In a gritty and alternate 1985, the glory days of costumed vigilantes have been brought to a close by a government crackdown. But after one of the masked veterans is brutally murdered, an investigation into the killer is initiated. The reunited heroes set out to prevent their own destruction, but in doing so they uncover a sinister plot that puts all of humanity in grave danger.

The absolutely worst move I ever watched by far. I managed to stay till the end in the cinema, because I thought my girlfriend enjoyed it. By the end she said she only stayed in because she thought I enjoyed it. It was terrible, boring, uninspired and dragging, pretending to be deep, yet uninteresting. The fans of the comic book will fight you for that opinion. Save yourself time. It's boring from the beginning and it's not getting any better.
