I’m not sure that the intended message from the creators was received, definitely hard to work out. Which i dont think is a bad thing
Not very pleasant experience, although i would say it succeeds as a opera/operette with its seemingly insane and hard to sympathise with protagonist who’s massive ego leads to tragedy
being that its a musical it lacks a lot of subtlety.
Perhaps overly ambitious??
I’m glad i watched it
Also maybe 13 oscar nominations is too many.
