Not What I Expected — In a Good Way
A friend of mine saw Silent Zone before I did and told me I should check it out — and I’m glad I listened. I’m a big fan of zombie movies in general, whether it’s full-on horror, post-apocalyptic survival, or even the funny ones. As long as it’s entertaining and has some bite (pun intended), I’m in.
At first, I thought Silent Zone was going to be a straight-up zombie slasher with non-stop action, but it turned out to be something quite different — and better than I expected. It’s more of a character-driven story, kind of a mix between a drama and a road movie, with some solid action moments sprinkled in. The zombie threat is always there, but the focus is more on the emotional journey and the connection between the characters.
It’s got a unique vibe — quiet, tense, and really well shot. The performances were strong too. It’s not the kind of zombie movie that’s all about headshots and gore, but it still kept me hooked all the way through.
For me, it's a solid 3.5 out of 5. Definitely worth a watch, especially if you're into the more thoughtful side of the genre.
