In the original Ghostbusters the characters are pretty dysfunctional despite being pseudo geniuses, but in this movie the women are not portrayed as genius and are just dysfunctional idiots. Baffling why the script was determined to undermine the actresses for almost the full length of the movie, to the point that the one scene where they get their acts together and display some competency it’s a breath of fresh air. Too bad the rest of the movie makes you choke on unfunny stupidity.
