I watch this every few years and I always am left wondering why afterwards.
The first half of the film is actually quite good - its the second half where I lose interest.
Tom Cruise is quite good in it surprisingly, he is what holds the whole thing from falling apart.
The two kids on the other hand are fighting to see which one I hate more.
It would be a MUCH better movie if both kids got splattered by the aliens after they first start aiming their machines on the stupid humans, all gathered around like sheep to the slaughter.
