What do you get when you mix gorgeous visuals, time travel, tragic mini-arcs, and one of the most emotionally devastating songs since My Heart Will Go On? This anime. This one-season, self-contained, absolutely stunning anime. 😭🎶🤖
You start thinking it’s gonna be an idol show. LOL NO. It’s a wild sci-fi epic about Vivy, the first autonomous AI, tasked with “singing to make people happy.” But then she’s thrown into a 100-year mission to stop the AI apocalypse—and baby, things go very off-script.
Why you’ll cry (and love it):
• The art is breathtaking. That sleek, crystalline, hyper-clean animation? Chef’s kiss.
• The fight scenes? Gorgeous and brutal. Like ballet with fists and steel.
• Vivy herself? Queen of repression. She’s cold, calculating, and yet you will SOB for her.
• Each arc dives into different ethical dilemmas: AI identity, purpose, love, loss, legacy.
• That final episode? THAT SONG? 😩 I’m not okay. You won’t be either.
It’s poetic. It’s painful. It’s perfect for people who like their sci-fi with a side of existential crisis and musical trauma.
