One of the greatest romcoms ever made.
I’ll even go as far to say that this might just be the best romcom Bollywood has ever made. Everything is just perfect. It’s funny. Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s chemistry is great. Imtiaz Ali is a talented writer and director. And the characters and dialogues are all very memorable and quotable.
Geet is so iconic. Kareena Kapoor’s performance is just so incredible. All the praise she got for this film is not enough. We need to keep talking about her in this forever. Not just the comedic bits in the beginning are perfection but when the second half where we see Geet’s emotional turmoil, she’s so good at that too. Fantastic. She won a Nobel Prize in my household for playing Geet.
