An animated modern romance film geared towards adults? One of the more unique films I’ve seen this year. Gorgeously animated in the same style as Into the Spider-verse with accompanying soundtrack from Kid Cudi who also voices the lead Jabari. The romance plays out rather straightforward but that’s not to say that the formula isn’t effective. Quite the opposite. It’s a depiction of a modern romance that encourages healthy attitudes about love, sex, and relationships. Not what I was expecting from Entergalactic, the animated Netflix film, but it was certainly a pleasant surprise.
