Ultimately this has been my favorite vampire movie since I had first watched it in 1989. Part of this is how they chose to design the vampires. The fangs, the eyes, skin. How they come to look more monster than human. It is one of the scariest visual depictions of vampires in film. Up there with "Let Me In" (2010).
The Lost Boys is a peak representaion of late 80's horror and cinema.
