As a child, Douglas was abused by a violent father, who then threw him to the dogs. Instead of attacking him, the dogs protected him. Traumatized, and leading a life on the margins of society with his dogs, Douglas descends into a murderous madness.
I went into this film blind, just knowing that it was from Luc Besson. It lived up to everything you would expect from him. It has an underdog, who is in anti-hero who overcomes the greatest of obstacles to become the most unlikeliest of heroes. It’s a brilliant film that makes you feel all of your emotions. I mean that it makes your soul feel triumphant at the same time is giving you a kick ass experience. It’s why we go to the movies. For this unexpected amazing feeling.
