I feel like people are being way to critical on this movie. I found Solo to be a ton of fun. I thought he killed it as Han and the cast around him were even better. Emilia Clarke is so likeable and is able to play the wild card at any moment, Woody Harrelson is funny and badass, Childish Gambino is smooth and definetly fucked his robot, and Paul Bettney is a awesome villain I wish we got more scenes with.
Now the pacing in the first act was a little all over the place but their was still fun and excitement to be had during it. It really picked up once the heist starts to go down. I didn’t like that when Han was in battle, they were fighting imaginary enemies in a red cgi wasteland. Made it feel cheap.
The third act was what really ramped up my overall enjoyment. I thought the backstabs and twists were great. Loved the surprise and it makes me really want more adventures with these versions of the characters.
