In 1920s Ireland young doctor Damien O'Donovan prepares to depart for a new job in a London hospital. As he says his goodbyes at a friend's farm, British Black and Tans arrive, and a young man is killed. Damien joins his brother Teddy in the Irish Republican Army, but political events are soon set in motion that tear the brothers apart.
Man, the English are truly inept lol we gotta stop letting stupid people colonize Hilarious that the loss of life didn’t change his mind but the emotional damage done to a train did Young Dylan would have loved showing this to his Catholic-“hating” friends growing up lol Some unnatural, tacky dialogue at some crucial moments unfortunately Yeah uh if a landlord gives a predatory loan with 500% interest, they are essentially asking to be murdered The emotional impact of fighting back is immense and I’m sure it would have made a real impact on me if the dialogue didn’t occasionally take me out of it completely! Borders aren’t real! Stop fixating on them!! Our aversion to globalism will certainly accelerate the demise of humanity! Damien freaking out on the loyalist army for killing Dan was so funny. Absolutely terrible scene. Would honestly embrace an ideological civil war at this point. End it - one way or another lolol Some high highs and some low lows!
