Ashley Williams travels to a secluded cabin in the woods with his girlfriend Linda where they find a tape recording of a professor and a book of evil. This unleashes a bunch of evil spirits that constantly terrorize Ash. Meanwhile a journalist comes to the area to study the book of evil. Ash and her end up having to survive this swarm of evil until morning comes.

I was lost for about the first 10 minutes of this film, then I realized it was some sort of recap. This sequel treads familiar grounds of the first, but this time with a higher budget and a lot less in quality. I found myself not feeling as invested as the first film. It also took its mythology and amped it up about 10x. Still some fun to be had, but nowhere near as good as the first film
