The way this movie had me in a CHOKEHOLD when I was younger! I don’t know if it was the aesthetics, but it really made me want to be sent to boarding school, like, really really bad even though that shouldn’t have been my takeaway at all??
I loved rewatching this as an adult and it takes me right back to how happy this movie has always made me. I’ve always loved the depictions of Sara’s stories and just how rich and lush the worlds she creates in her imagination are portrayed. I also really love seeing villain get what they deserve and Miss Minchin?! Yeah sorry she had that coming! Rewatching this definitely makes me want to re-read the novel again with my adult brain :)
