Book of Monsters
Sophie's 18th birthday becomes a bloodbath when monsters descend upon her house and start to devour the party guests. Sophie and her friends must rally together to send their party crashers back to hell.

My quick rating - 4.6/10. Well, definitely not a kids' movie. I wanted to like this movie for the silly violence (not realistic, mind you) and blood splattering when all the kids invited to the girl's 18th birthday party get slaughtered but the sheer stupidity of the movie was so distracting. One thing I don't normally bother pointing out was how bad the editing was. Scenes occasionally sat with silence while the actors waited for a cue to do something. That is really poor. Somewhat funny at times, but overall the bad outweighs the good, although it might be worth checking out if it pops up for something different.
