My Favourite Seagal film, and also his first I believe. Myself and my kids have always loved Martial Art related movies. It started with the Karate Kid trilogy but as a family we all took up Karate and reached a high level over the years. It was then we realised the likes of Karate Kid and numerous others lacked authenticity when it came to the fight choreography. That is not the case with Nico. Not the most original plot but a decent supporting cast including Pam Grier and a young Sharon Stone made it watchable. What is breathtaking is Mr Seagal's obvious mastery of Aikido. He earned at least one of his Black Belt degrees training in Japan and I know from my own instuctors experiences they are not overly welcoming to westerners in their Dojo, so it is a big deal. I have watched other films by this man which were also watchable but this for me is a must.
