Indefensibly bad. There is a plot line established right away that no one on Earth wanted, is introduced in the laziest way possible, and just sends the whole movie spiraling down the toilet. There are more plot holes than there are reasonable resolutions, to the point that it’s hard for me to think of a way to disrespect the franchise more.
