Andrew Garfield swings into the Spider-Man role with style in this fresh reboot of the iconic Marvel hero. The plot is simple and easy to follow, reintroducing Peter Parker’s origin with a more grounded, modern twist. Rather than feeling like a repeat of the past, it brings its own emotional weight and depth, especially through Peter’s search for the truth about his parents.
One of the major highlights is the suit design — sleek, sharp, and arguably one of the best Spidey suits on screen. It gives Spider-Man a faster, more agile look that fits Garfield’s build and the film’s tone perfectly.
The humour is well-balanced — not overdone, but just enough to remind us why Spider-Man is known for his witty banter. Garfield’s performance is charismatic and layered, bringing both vulnerability and confidence to Peter Parker. Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) brings real chemistry and intelligence to the story, while Dennis Leary (Captain Stacy) offers a grounded, serious counterbalance. Rhys Ifans also delivers a solid performance as Dr. Connors/The Lizard, giving the villain depth and a touch of tragedy.
